Ahhh yea thats a cracking bit of canal. We used to park down at a lay by at a point where the road splits in 3 next to a bridge and barge moring area. No idea of the name of that area but do know a pool covered with lillys also backed onto the canal. Fished it a couple of locks down from pool hall in the past and had loads of gonks (some so small they were transparent) perch, skimmers and small carp

A few more locks down where you can park on the farmers farm and drop a few shineys in his box is lovely. Parts are narrow and reed lined, afew wider bends and over hanging trees etc. Great canal, been a while since i have drowned a maggot there though.

Ment to add, path traffic is high in the warmer months so keep your stuff out of the way.

Dimmingsdale, that pool used to be run by GKN Sankeys fishing club

Looked really Tenchy if there is such a thing....prolly had no Tench in it at all

By the way - the short walk pegs for 'us' invalids before Cheslynboy says owt about em
