my money this year is on team D, what with harry hit man giving tk team tips on how to hook barge they are bound to bag up

i hope i am not talking out of school but are all these members because i have never seen a few of these names before ,and i just thought that we had to vote for people to become members , i hope i am not trouble making

nobody tony just seems as there seems to be a lot more people than we should have, than on the third link ,as stated as 25 members but as i say i have never heard of these new members thats all

We've currently got 25 'ordinary' members and 4 'honorary' members Harry. Honorary membership is a concept that was introduced a couple of years ago, initially as a recognition of that members contribution over the years to the club……….


Given that members have till the end of Jan following the AGM held in Nov to renew their membership, often vacancies are not known and do not arise till well after the AGM.


Any subsequent vacancies that do arise are offered to, and filled from a waiting list that is held.

as io have said tony i am not trying to course any trouble it is just that when i have been to our meetings some of these people that are named as on our teams ,i have never heard of ,and am sure they have not been to any of our meetings to be voted on thats all i am concered about ,,if i am wrong then i am sorry i have said anything ,but i know they have never fished on any venues last year

you were not at the AGM when we welcomed back an ex member who had previously fished with us for several years, who was previously a valued 'active' member as trophy steward, who had dropped out unexpectedly last year because of personal reasons.

Didnt know that was a criteria to be met before a prospective member could join Cashmores, but sorry to disagree on that statement too......two of the four new members fished as guests on more than one occasion - on matches that you also fished!!!

Of course they haven’t - the vacancies didn’t exist at the time of the AGM in November


In fact re the 'voted on' bit............that's a bit Victorian  - as far as I'm concerned in all my time as a Cashmores member (18 years) rather than 'voted on them’ , I’d like to think we've 'welcomed' any new members (if any vacancies existed) to the AGM.

In fact looking at the current membership list of 28 names, 21 members have joined after me…………….and many more names have come and gone over the years……….anglers that joined us as members without the necessity of a 'vote'   

I see team A are so confident they only need 5 in their team Looks a very good mix there TK. Should be an interesting competition,

Believe it or believe it not MrV, there is a bit of historical logic that is applied in drawing up the teams...........before of allegations of a 'fix' again this year

But looking at the teams, definitely difficult to pick any favorites this year......... but if I had to put a fiver on it I'd go with tour team E.............afterall you've still got 4 decent river anglers to clock up the points for you
