MILES BEFORE THERE TIME

1978 for a guess.

dunno but that fish would go down in history if id caught it

Was originally going to go a little earlier than Choppie - I'm sure I bought a M & M persuader feeder rod in 1976........and deffo my first 'pole' - all 5.8 mtrs of it

But was there really a 'pole craze' in 1976.......did it come a little later 79/80


So I'll go 1980

Tk I was going to guess 1980 too but since you said it I will got 1981

I bought my first pole in 1977-- 8m Lerc only used it at about 6m though- was too bloody heavy to use full length
my god how they have come on since then.
i remember having this catalogue--got to be mid 70`s (76 i`d guess0
I also have the book "Ivan Marks on match fishing" kicking about somewhere.
It was my inspiration.
