My tactics for Saturday will be, 2 flasks of soup 1 packet of fig rolls and a copy of Harry Potter,
Seriously hard t,day chaps. Although i,ve only fished choppy. I,ve had 1 perch of about 2oz over and 3 bites down the track at 6 metres. I fished the peg facing the left hand corner of the 2 dead arms. I,ve had no boats and the wind has been pretty decent and presentation wasnt a problem. The cut was very coloured.

Image I like your tactics, I might follow suit Image
I wonder if you can get a hardback version of the Daily Star to stop the pages blowing over Image

The area you fished today are decent roach/punch pegs but not very good for bonus fish.

The better pegs are to the left of where you fished today, where the pool is behind you. There are a lot more bonus fish there and i would be have been surprised if you had fished there today and not hooked some tench and skimmers.

Bugger!" Forgot to mention the extensive road works on, before and after the bridge. Care will be needed when parking up as there are traffic signals very near the parking area.

Nice one Ratbag  Image.

I fished that peg in a knock up a couple of weeks ago (with Tigerbay to my right, facing the other arm)

Interestingly I fed a chop line too at 10.am to the bush at about 9.5mtrs....................

..............and only had 1 bite off it - probably the same perch :D

Punch and pinkie scored for me at 9 mtrs bottom of shelf and at the top at 11 mtrs..............skimmers and roach

PS - what soup you got - might save me doing a flask if I can cadge the one off you :D

Park on the verge and path (completely off the road) immediately after the traffic lights on the rhs coming from the A5. The verge/path runs 100 yards or so down the the house (old kennels)

A fair reflection if you go for the better stamp fish and they show.........

As for me, despite all my chuntering, I'm happy catching my bottletops and sliver roach as long as the float keeps going under.

Mind...............it is nice to have a few stamp fish late on on the caster Image
