Just in case the weather backs off at the weekend !!! Does anybody know of any decent matches on !!!! Shrewsbury is off, Wye off, erewash no decision yet but I have heard no B & J will be in the country via Sam this week so that will be a no go, plus 4" of ice !!!! It's looking bleak !!!!!!!
Is there one at March ? Then again they have had it bad there aswell !!!! Arrrrggggghhhhh !!!!

Choppie, not looking good mate in this area. Our WL already called off.
Norbury called off for the first time I can ever remember (the lanes not the ice).
Several more off as you mention, might be fingers crossed and get that punch out on the Erewash if that is on.
I am cut off from civilisation at the moment, phones are crappity smack, can't do much work
Will have to work all weekend sooner be out there in me cotton socks

Choppy, ive just been told there will be a match on partridge lakes on sunday. Not sure what numbers will turn up though

we have the practice round of our winter league on one of the drains this weekend...... should be good for a few roach

Cheers Steve for that . My fingers are still in a mess from last week there ! My ice was 2" thick on peg 41, took 1 and a 1/2 hours to do my peg, never had one of those blokes with those extended saws to help cut the peg ! Ripped my gloves and never noticed for ages that my hands had been bleeding, they were that cold ! Then the peg kept freezing up ! Fished for one hour then gave up had a chat with Andy Bennett and J DeCluet who were walking (top blokes ) then went back home (160 round trip) !
Will come again if the weather improves and there's 50 on mate

I spoke to one of our lads that is sorting the pegging out and he said it is looking like it will be just on whittelsy dyke as its not frozen due to the lock being broken and its flowing.....if more than 40+ book on he will probably put the remainder on benwick he's been on there today with a whip and caught all along the length. we normaly get 50+ anglers on the practice matches, this weekend i'm not sure???

Choppie, just had a thought, ring Spalt on 07808 750779, he might have one on the drains at Ramsey St Mary. It may be the same one Gibbo mentioned though

it is the same match mate....... i've fished the venue for the last 3 years and every match has been spot on, regardless of the weather you will need double figures of roach to frame and most people will get more than 5lb with 7-8lb needed for the section.

Thought it was but the number might be useful for Choppie.

By the way, who the crappity smack is TC,
