As a result of one confirmed resignation and the transfer of Lasher and JR to 'honorary' status, 3 vacancies have arisen.......

These have been offered to the first three names above - so welcome aboard Abuman and (back aboard) Grand Master France.........I'm still awaiting to hear from Sibeck

Although JR was elected by the members as an Honorary Life member at the previous AGM in 2009 the ’ordinary’ membership position he subsequently vacated wasn’t offered to or therefore filled by any interested person wishing to join us back then.

This was because the gravity of his illness was not fully appreciated and we didn’t realise how poorly he was at the time of his membership status change.

When we voted JR to his honorary position I, and perhaps others, expected him on the bank during the 2010 season to take up ‘his’ peg. Hence the ‘ordinary’ membership last year stood at a reduced figure of 24 along with the three honorary members – JR, MGB and Mick Kenn.

JR – if you happen to chance upon this, our thoughts are with you on the bank side and I really hope you are feeling much, much better
