looks like a ivan marks  persuader  float rod to me used to be in four sections  :-/second thoughts it was a lot softer than that

Actually a bit of a punt TK, but there a number of similar footbridges to the one in the background on the Kennet.

Simple reason really,
It looks like it one the islands where the river and canal criss cross around Reading.

I know Kate Bush lives on the large island, just wondered whether that was it in the pic, obviously taken a few years back.
