Re March matches.

I think it take quite a bit of 'nasty' to cancel a March match on the Old Nene.

I believe they have to apply for a permit to have opens and are only allotted six a season.

Had just under 9lb for a section win I think ! Did not go back due to the distance and weather.
Best weights I heard were 17lb Nuddy, a 13, 12's, an 11 and a 10 so maybe there were some more weights !
I was in a section behind the band stand / leisure centre, trouble was we were in the shade from bushes on our side of the river which meant the river kept freezing and with it the line, elastic and pole, so it was a case of have 2 fish, clear peg, get ice off float, line, elastic and pole !! just could not beat the elements, some pegs were ice free and this really helped. That's the coldest I have been !!!!
So no points again, a tough weekend (what with the tunnel episode on sat), a few more miles clocked up and just like everyone else I will be hoping the weather improves so we can get out and fish properly !!!!!! Image

Yes, it did look a struggle mate, was there much ice, if it was just cat ice then the water temp must have been sitting at about 2 degree's which is just toooo cold !
