Ken wonders why teams are falling by the wayside when he picks venues that 90% of the teams have a 3 hour ride to

rumoured that the southern semi`s are GUC at Milton Keynes and Gold Valley.
luv MK hate GV.
if GV is definitely one of the semi`s can`t believe Angling Times have booked it, especially after Adolf cancelled the Maver pairs there because of no Maver Match This bookings for next year.

gold valley £10 a day ticket i have heard plus fuel plus bait also breakfast £80 how can the average working man with a young family afford that you can see why team fishing is dropping off too much travelling keep it on natural venues and have smaller semis more local

Does anyone know or have an idea why AT is so cosy with several commercial venues ?

don't forget there are a few northern teams that have had to travel for the past few years
my only gripe is it on a commercial at the completely wrong time of year surely now the final has been put back to September a spring semi final should be on the cards on commercials when the fishing is better
ok the traveling cost money but at least your going to catch fish
you have only got to look at the heronbrook semi

I agree that the most northern and southern teams travel but the semis should be kept as central as possible to all the teams. Ok we may get more repeated venues ie stainy and lindolme but at least the travelling for everyone is kept down. The superleague failed because they went to extremes like beau beach that's off the end of the earth.

Lloydy I take it you are talking about Woodlands here?? Well as far as I can see it is central for a lot of Northern leagues. Ours, Barnsleys, north west , hulls, yorkshire etc. So putting it in the midlands is not central. Woodlands is possibly closer for a lot of northern teams than putting it on Heronbrook etc.

I`d be happy with Lindholme more than Woodlands, much better venue
And if I was choosing one this far north it would be The Oaks at Sessay. Much fairer venue and more bites!!
