No piccys Gem i,m afraid, but i suppose what i had was to be expected. i did forget to mention that i spent over 20 mins draggin a sheet of ice out of my way bigger than half a football field. just as well realy because it took another hour for the tow to slow down after they,d switched the airators off. i had 1.5gramme on in 8 ft of water and it was like fishin the avon, a complete waste of time feeding owt.

What was 1st place's weight made up with Welder ?
The Riddings
The guy had about 9 carp Si and i saw him pull out of 3. they all looked to be the same stamp fish, 5lbish. hes had em straight lead all on the deck with hair rigged corn. Apparently the winner of the Vets last 3 matches have all come off the same peg with 40lb+

Cheers, did you set up the tip rod and have a dabble ?

Spose i chucked over half the match Si, Corn, Worm and Dead reds but no joy. I fed maggot and meat at 13 metres and caught my fish on meat.

what pool wasa you on ? if it was the riddings ( the big main pool ) then thats peggy when ever you go spring summer winter day or night.there are pegs on there that will never see a carp or big barbel . A lot of people dont like matches on there as you can predict which pegs will frame and which will duck before the draw
The Riddings
We were on the big pool me, i think it needs a load of silvers putting in if you,re gonna have winter matches on there, at least then it,ll give ya summut else to fish for if you,re off the carp.
