Without doubt one of the great coaches of his era, flamboyant and larger than life.
He'll be sadly missed.

Nice one Mugger
We had (as always) a Manchester radio station on at work this morning ....... when the sad news of Malcom Allisons death was anounced it was actually a shock that he made it to 83 years of age ! he did like a drink and a cigar and a woman or two !
To cut a long story short i jumped in my works van at lunchtime and drove the short distance to eastlands , there were loads of fans paying their respects and MCFC had a picture of Malcom on a big screen near the main entrance just after City had won the 1st division title ....... he was wearing the very same style (Retro) tracksuit the Man City squad are wearing this season
Awesome coach in his time , his fitness and tactical nous were way before there time and he and Joe Mercer were a very very special part in Citys history.

funny how people slip from your mind. malcolm was a frequent visitor to bath city back in the 80s a true gent along with joe mercer and tony book . despite choosing the wrong club i loved him to bits never a dull moment . as first and formost a football fan i can genuinly say he brought me many happy hours both on the pitch and on telly. rest in peace
