the great tom bedder what a top class angler i used to see him down the old fruit and veg market very morning I'll get his profile out of the magazine and print it one day always carried his basket with the strap on his head known for his card games in Ireland his bream fishing and festival wins also fished with leicester on the nene,i can remember walking the bank on a winter league at ferry meadows and tom had drawn the thicket on arrival at his peg he was playing a 3lb chub and it snagged him he did no more than started to throw mud and lead weights at it the chub soon came out

another great venue in its day chub everywhere
