Cashmores match 15 2010 - River Trent Armitage
Well the 2010 season draws to a close with this final match……..which will also be the final Cashmores match for some…………….that’s if they haven’t already fished their final match with the club.
No doubt there will be a new face or two amongst the members next year, that is of course presuming there’s no changes to the structure/format of the club at the AGM……….and should those on the ‘waiting list’ still wish to jump aboard as the vacancies are confirmed.
But back to this match and shall I start with a confirmed casualty list for it………..?????????
Or a suspected casualty list - which tends to be more accurate…………..
Confirmed guests
OBI
Abuman
Terry
Glynn
Juan Chub snr

Looking forward to this one ::) A "spy" gave me the following info as a taster
Apparently, the river is fishing well at present, but as with the Trent everywhere at the moment, it depends on the level/colour. Plenty of fish to be had throughout the length, and tactics are dictated by the state of the level/colour.
So its prayer mat out, and a little word with the mighty one, asking for some rain this coming weekend til about Tuesday, then a nice dry spell up to match day.
Knowing the Cashmores luck, the will kick in and it will be dry til next Tuesday, then hiss it down until match day

heres wot the baa say about handsacre
Trent Handsacre
DESCRIPTION
This short length (25 pegs) of upper Trent is noted for it’s Winter Roach fishing with pleasure catches exceeding 20lbs. Chub, Bream & the occasional Barbel are also to be caught. Generally shallow, the river here can become heavily weeded in Summer making fishing difficult.
for anyone who needs directions check the baa website
www.baa.uk.com
go to the where to fish section and click on handsacre
tight lines all

parking behind every peg
also if 25 pegs used it will be very tight pegging for a river
i read that on the baa website as well !!! top section nearest the bridge can go 8-10 feet deep in places (best pegs) not so much weed, section above overflows much shallower...hence more weed.
barbel !!!!!!!!!!
