no reason why it wouldnt mate id be up for it
t&m middlewich my choice mate
take it by £3 a peg it would be mainly cuts
think dodge got good point on teams of 6
an also keeping pools down £10 or £12 an most of that going back out as section money
other venues id like to see would be
penkridge good head of fish in there
cornerstone
soho loop never fished it but heard good stuff
erawash trent lock end full of small fish

I have had a fair bit of feedback via texts and calls and the general consensus is that I should take off the £3 a peg limit and run it along the lines of the old west mids Drennan, cuts, pools and rivers..

Discuss...........

if I have to take out one rule I get to choose another.....12 man squad.... could actually be fun. river lads on a canal, inter squad rivalry, canal lads on a carp venue catching gudgeon, commie boys wondering why the float keeps moving.........

Trouble with that Lee is most squads have around 16 anglers so 4 would be left doing nothing

And if 3 squads have to leave out 4 anglers each thats 12 anglers to form a mixed team.

Don't work mate. That's why they reduced squads in first place thinking it would make more squads but if an angler is with a team they don't want to be left out and fish for another team. All that happens is the anglers left out don't fish and some pack it in

It was just a thought Dave so anglers had to be more diverse in their fishing.

I agree with you mate, but look at the anglers just from tipton that packed in fishing or team fishing when squads went to 22. Some just cus they didn't want to fish in what in there eyes were a lesser team.

hi lee why dont you ask for teams to commit to say 4 on a canal and 2 on a commy then you can phone around and check the commys for bookings get dates and start the drennan up again teams of 8 see what feedback you get you never know it may take off Image

4 canals and 2 commies could be good Image

Food for thought though ..... it would be very difficult in todays climate to get teams of 8 or bigger to commit to fish a summer saturday league. I also think a lot more teams will practice for the div 1 national next summer as it is on a canal ;)
