i must say i loved my time i had on the trent running up to the national there is something about fishing a big river with loads of withe and pace, deep bits shallow bits the choice of feeder ,stick.waggler, bolo straight lead and pole the choice of big or small fish the trent is definitely on the way back

i spent loads of time on my kit and even made some wagglers to do the job

and often the rewards of catching on one of your own made floats are great

i do hope we see more matches on the trent and with the help of the farmers the parking is a lot easier
i thought the angling trust had done a great job just could of spent a few bob on some signs to the draw still thats what makes a national day out
unfortunately i drew the tidal at south Clifton and not the best area either it was like fishing off a beach and it certainly had more shells than Brighton beach on it
south clifton is a place i'd rather not go back to on the trent but even so i did enjoy the company with diddy in the distance and bicko next to me and a old friend below alan round and of course i learnt a new method of how to catch dabs thanks to bicko ::) ::)

1 will be going back to the trent soon the roach are in prime condition picture perfect
