Dodge, if you want teams in our WL I have a few places but not too many.

Warrington have just entered.

I'm stopping at 20 teams

:-/SORRY TO HERE THAT DODGE i can't see that being the last mate
we need law and order in match fishing the quicker we get it the better
A proper organising group or body that puts team matches first
commercial anglers can do what they want BUT if they have pledged to fish a team match they fish it
the summer league has turned upside down as team captain have let there anglers do what they want so when it comes to a venue they don't like they don't want to fish
simple if you sign up to a team YOU fish for the team what ever the venue if you you want to be a individual then stay as a individual
i want to see see a team league where everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet  before its too late
i don't mind organising matches BUT it pi##es me off when captain phone up and say they can't get a team because such and such is fishing here and such and such is fishing there or he doesn't like that venue GET  REAL THATS TEAM FISHING!!!!
to me the choice is easy one or the other team captains and match organizers are all in the same boat loads of phone calls sorting thing out
i want a meeting with the top brass before long i'm sure the dividing line can be met for individuals and team competitions
i want to see the a super league of the best made up of the best team anglers that don't faultier at the first mishap
its got to be soon rather than later
and on sundays

don't say it can't be done as it can quite easily the more and more i look at our sport its easy to see cop outs by the angling trust by match organizers they just get grown down by negativity by anglers who don't organizer jack sh#t LETS HAVE A NATIONAL BODY OF ORGANIZERS that set a nation wide team calendar for team angling
until we sit a round a table team fishing is going down the pan!!!!BEFORE LONG

MMMMmmmmmm stay as I am then !

There is a big canal league in the pipeline for next summer. All on Sundays, Six matches if not eight.

It should be the largest league in the country.

It is all in the prep stage at the minute.

It already has backing. I have a meeting coming up (not sorted yet) to sort it out.

The venues are are all in mind at the minute.

Can't say much more in case it falls flat and I end up with crappity smack poached crappity smack egg on my boat race

As long as it doesnt clash with the Crewe summer league bill    alternate weeks would be big canal summer league fishing heaven !       8-)



With the AT Mid Cheshire lge folding that leaves just the Wigan Division the lone survivor in the WHOLE of the North West ! an area that used to be a stronghold of team fishing ! ..... funny enough i bumped into Mark Addy in the tackle shop this evening and even he says his Drennan NW lads just want to fish commies nowadays !

keep us posted bill please. since the demise of the drennan league in the west mids our cut blokes don't have a big league to target and as joff says, it's getting harder to keep our team members interested. instead they go and fish commies all the time. i have, at times, struggled to field a 5 man team for the dams and lock summer league. tbh i sometimes wonder whether it's worth all the hassle mate.
