Thought i would start this new topic for a bit of interest to see your thoughts on this.
   in this modern world of Team match angling the year 2010 etc..
  dont you think its time that the use of mobys in National Championships where allowed by the competitors,
  every ones got one nowadays
and with Teams having less anglers to have the luxuary of Bank runners Wich could do more harm than good, for obvious reasons,
with the Rivers and some cuts running a lot more clearer than they did Back in the day . Then i think they should form part of the modern match anglers armourey , If used correctly as not to disturb other anglers .

Are bank runners allowed to use mobile phones?

Sure I've seen pictures of walkie talkies allowed/used by the support team in the World Champs

If you had Keith Hulland in your side you would get no fishing in during five hours.

I'm with Bill on this, mobiles to be use in emergencies only.

bill, with mr hulland in ya team you don't need mobiles coz every bugger can hear him for miles

Had to tell the bloke fishing next to me on div2 national not to use his phone.Dosnt bother me one bit, while there on the phone there not concentrating on fishing.

well so far not many for the use of phones  during nationals and i also like the mystery of the results at the after match bantter  :-/as Bill said  but still nice to hear other peoples thoughts......

to be honest phones are part of our daily life.let them be used some of these venues are crap .i need all the help i can get.bank runners are extinct no spo oking ya fish then

don't care about phones, if someone wants to use theirs fine.

Agree with Dodge 100% about bank walkers though, shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a match. I want leaving in peace when I'm fishing a match.
