yesterday i fished the C I U at eye kettleby 40 anglers spread over two lake the lakes were 4and 5 different to the last round which was fished on lake 7
this is lake 5 and where i had drawn smack bang in the middle of my section and half way down the island around the back both ends looked good and the team draw meant we had the middle peg in each section i was lucky bob greenbury was on the opposite side and i could see him through the island his first fish was a 8lb carp yet on my side both the end pegs were catching carp and we sat there like potfrogs i did have a lump on a small cage feeder but that broke me on the knot
after that it was very slow i had feed a 5 metre line with pellets and that resulted in a string of skimmers but didn't last too long so i thought about caster shallow and started to feed it i didn't go on it until i saw some sort of movement
and when i did it resulted in a carp but very slow i had one more then out of the blue the skimmers turned up at the shallow depth ;)blimey did they show it was one a bung until the end they did back off to 17metres which was quite a job fishing shallowbut with soft laggy i managed to get away with it by the end of the match ifelt as though i'd been to the gym but managed to put together 31lb11oz of them enough for second in the section which pleased me as a few started to catch the odd carp at the end but it was to late and the decission to fgish for silvers was right on my side of the lake bob managed 49lb15oz of carp giving us three points off the lake
the other lake fished just as well but the end pegs were a lot better
brad titmas won the match with 55lb on the method 2nd bob greenbury 49lb 15oz 3rd trez profit with 47lb 15oz that was only 9 fish 4th pete marlow 46lb
on the team front thurmaston working mens club [or sensas]with27 points and a tie for second was leicester sensas and harmony sex toys both 28 points

Aye Joffie - I had a gander at the web site when you mentioned it before Looks nice
Plus a few fish to be had until the rolls up
From your pickies above it looks very similar to the match lake at Curborough that we fish.
Only prob on the 'club front' is that whilst its 70 odd miles for me (1.5 hours), its getting on for 100 for one or two members :(
