Yes I do ask the same question Joff, the tidal teams of 4 is sold out with 20 teams, with the ever consistent Shakey boys winning the league ahead of my team by 1 point with 1 round to go.

Then a 75 peg open on the Trent 2 weekends ago which I was third in dont get published in either weekly paper maybe the organisers did not send them in who knows.

What does my head in though is the coverage that the 10 - 15 peg opens on commies get some even state that they get turn outs of 30 when only 14 and 15 are turning up, is it any wonder some of these one venue wonder boys have so many county champs points.
Rant over, back for another top weekend on the Trent cant wait.

Dan,
When "organisers" refuse to send reports of 50 peg plus matches or leagues in, what am I supposed to do?
I stop in every Saturday and Sunday evening to get as many results in as I can. It is quite difficult to guess when these Leagues take place.
Take the Tidal Teams of four for example. I have received one result, a full week late than when the match took place, this was the first round.
If the anglers can't sort this mess out I can see Kamasan withdrawing all their sponsorship. How are these anglers going to get their Kamasan points? Match fishing does stands to loose a lot of money from this sort of organisers attitude. Hope this explains a few things.

i did have this reply from bret
Joff Holme was dire in many sections. I was second in mine with 2 lbs 3.5 oz beat by two bream on the top end peg which went 6lbs. Realistically I could have done 5-6lbs if I'd fished the float all day for bits however some people fished four hours for bits and still struggled.
East Bridgeford yesterday was a lot better with plenty of bits. Alex Graham won with 15 lbs of chub, 2 nd was 8lbs 10 oz which included a 4 lb chub and I was third with 7lbs 14 oz of roach, dace and chublets and a bonus 1 lb + perch. Back up weights were 3-6lbs with plenty of small fish.
Hopefully we'll get some rain next week, (this weeks long term forecast isn't good). If we don't get some before the National it could be very hard.

Bill, I totally understand your frustration and am not knocking what yourself and any other angling journalists do you do a brilliant job

. Anglers only have themselves to blame a lot of the time as to many have become complacent and lazy I know.
I shall hopefully be getting hold of the results for that said match tomorrow so can I send them through to you please ?
Joff, Glen Lawrence is running an open on saturday at Fiskerton which I think is limited to 50 pegs. Not sure if there is anything being run on sunday not heard owt.

the lads have been catching in the evenings its like a different river then
but like i said its better to be catching fish on the methods you want to use rather than fish them on the matches where you can't catch a site!
can't believe how many barbel anglers turn up late at night

:owhen we are packing up

Yes it is Joff and as far as im aware this is the only match being run before the national on that section. The barbel anglers are probably one of the reasons bream are not really feeding at the moment along with low water conditions and no colour, they do not need to feed in the day now do they. From what I have seen of the river so far is good and feel that there is always something to do in your peg to get some bites (or am i just drawing on a pile). The tidal is very hard and I think that what the tide does will play a massive part, the fish may only feed for 15 minutes out of the five hours and in that time you need to be fishing the correct method.

Just received the Tidal Trent League results round three. Still haven't had round two though; the guy running it will have to send all the paperwork down to the London HQ now as proof for Kamasan purposes
Dan, I know you you weren't having a go, I was just explainig what in reality does go on. These guys blame guys like me for them not being in.
The criteria is simple, I am in every Sat and Sun night, - these results are needed on Sunday night so they can, 1) go on the AM website and 2) the pages can be 'laid out' in order to include reports and pics. You can see now why some reports don't go in.
Now I will shut the crappity smack up and get on with writing about venues; there is no aggro with them

Having had a real crappity smack rant I can say this:
Neil Campion, Swinno, John Johnson, Tony Vandome, Colin Walton have sent me all their river resuilts in for the past two years. If they can, others can.
I received last weekend's Worksop result, 72 fished, from one of the competitors or that wouldn't have been in more likely.
Perhaps this is why we see more canal Nationals nowadays; never seem to get any problems getting them in. Every Div 2 practise match was in AM.
