well this match seamed to be the hardest one to run for a long time i always try and get the draw, print the weigh sheets, team sheet, result page ,overall result sheet all at the start of the week so i can forget about it and get on with what ever this week its been a hook tying week
i hate the job but its nice when the hook box is full again
;)the week has been full of phone calls with teams missing a few anglers because of holidays ,so its a case of finding anglers for who ever and to be fair we don't normally have a problem with having a spare team fishing
that was until this week blimey we just managed it with only one angler fishing for the spare team

any way the draw was made everyone had run off and i didn't take any notice of my peg as i did the draw ::) ::)
packed everything up and went to the van ,when roger said" you'll be ok today mate you've drawn a flier"
WHERE i said and he replied end-peg
brilliant it had come second last week and 4th in the first round
about time i had a good peg off i went chuffed as punch

only to pull up and get told by gobfrey there's a boat on your peg
not the normal boat a 57ft boat

why me anyway its the end-peg so i moved to the end of the boat but this meant i was off the tree that makes the peg so good and opposite the wrong sort of boat

and this boat was owned by a family of coloured friends and last week they had 6 kids in it

still the rest of the peg looked good and as you know i do like to be near a bridge
the trouble was the canal turns at a right angle and boats Que up

still fingers crossed i got on with it in fact the family only came down to the boat once and probably three or four boats cued throughout the whole match i ended up with 13lb 2oz on squatt
