I always wondered why the SVWL never fished the Radcliffe end and now i know :(
As is usual the first 8 pegs did all the damage and after that it was very tough.
Result:
1 Nicky West 12-8-0
2 Rev 11-0-0
3 Vaughan Hill 5-15-0
4 Dean-might have 3lb Guest -Liecester Sensas 5-4-0
Section winners
Bri Walker 4-7
Tony Cahill 2-8
Mick Hitchin 3-12
Long Eaton fiddle winners(the most important )
Agent Harold 1-8-0
Petebagup 2-0-0
First 3 in a line 2nd 3rd and 4th peg in and the bloke on the first peg won the section
Winner fished the wagg and caster and had some dumpy roach
I drew the far end peg in the cattle drink(Bucko will say its solid) and had 11 perch on choppy and 30 blades on pinkie. The chap to my left opposite the trees fished the feeder most of the day for 3 perch and a DNW.
Thats it river gear packed away for another year and people knock the Earwash

Same thing happened to me Sunday walked up to Radcliffe lock to find 2 easterns spinning.Asked them if they had caught owt and stuttered a few small perch-no keepnet
Asked them if they had a ticket and pretended not to understand-all they said been there since 6 ocock
Was gonna come on your match but the Fed needed me for some reason for this challenge match.
See you Sunday tho and we will see if the Fed can keep up their recent record of being last again

Agent Harold always has a side bet in the EVWL with Mark Scriv Scotty and i even think he wanted one with Bicko
The other year he kept drawing sock on and winding them all up it ended up with a mock fight and Agent Harold telling Mark he wasnt fit to wear the Daiwa Trentman shirt and promptly ripped it off his back and started to wear it himself
Mark got his revenge eventually by creeping up behind him and pulling his trousers down in front of all after a round of the EVWL
Since then its usually a verbal war after the match and after a beer or 2
