so who is still interested in the world cup????????
after englands dismal pathetic efforts the only team trying to play now is the dutch. but does anyone care now.
personally i think the standard of footy at this world cup has been crap with noone playing with any real flair. yes the gerries have scored 4 in their last 2 games but then thats gerry efficiency for you. brazil flattered to decieve, argies couldnt do it under pressure, portugal no real adventure.
i hope uraguay win it to stuff it up fifa who only support the big boys and couldnt really give a stuff about the little nations.
am i being cinicle or do you feel the same

I have had this conversation with lads (mostly Man Utd fans) at work gb
. Everyone seems to be in agreement that the ball FIFA have forced all teams to use in this world cup just isnt right !
This Jabulani thing flies off the pitch at speed ,bounces like crappity smack, swerves like crappity smack all the time and just doesnt perform naturally. All teams are passing short , whenever there has been a crossfield pass it has either gone astray or miscontrolled, also not one goalkeeper has shown any confidence with nearly all keepers dropping and spilling the ball in each match. Nearly every shot on goal ends up in row z in the top tier of the stadium ....... its a joke and withoutdoubt has made a lot of top quality players look poor !
FIFA though on the otherhand having endorsed this Jabulani ball have made a crappity smacking fortune from it !!!
;)
Former England goalkeeper Gordon Banks did an interview on sky sports just before the world cup finals started ...... he called for the Jabulani ball to be banned as it was the worst football he had ever come across

it's not very exciting tho. needs some flair, they're all too scared to lose

We have to face facts. We are a nation of whinging bastards and this has contributed (along with the odd politician
) to be the most hated race in the world.
We have blamed one pitch for being too narrow, another for not being good enough, those crappity smack trumpet things, the crappity smack ball and one thats really takes the crappity smack biscuit, being tired.
The real reason is that we are crappity smack shyte, end of

i watched gazza's tears the other night 1990 brilliant brought a tear to my eye THAT team wanted to win the world cup 100% lineker last minute goal
i never saw any of that spirit in any of the England team this year
like i said it will be all forgotten soon
not by me
crappity smack your man utd,man city chelsea and all your other foreign premiership teams where all the english so called superstars hide behind

couldn't agree more BY we have to moan and whinge about summat.
But when the Prem League starts all will be forgotten by the masses lovingly flowing to watch all these high paid namby pamby prima donnas at the top clubs.
So when it comes to England games and Joe Bloggs who plays for crappity smack united is in goal or cant head a ball from ponsy london team is at centre half people will question the choice but forget that we aint got noone else cos the big boys dont care about bringing the young talent thru!!!!!
We might just as well pick the team from the champiopnship

Spain just reaching the final is a victory for proper football,
they play the game the way it should be played,-- keeping possession with confidence-- even when under pressure they still manage to find a teammate,
and some of the moves in and around the german box were awesome--even though they didnt score from them they were a pleasure to watch.
I just hope if they go on to win it--then kids will try to copy them and football will improve-- but i cant see anything changing in this country because we think our hoof it and hope football is the way to play--and it would take a MAJOR change of mindset throught out all levels of english football before we started to teach our young kids to play football the right way. teach them confidence with the ball and pick the most skilful lads for the academies--not the biggest strongest and fastest lads as we do now.
