well as you can see the canal fished really well and with the early start most anglers found fish feeding well .might be food for thought in the future I'd like to thank Chris and Jackie at the boat pub for opening up early and reserving one whole end of the pub for us to watch the football [enough said] also spending time putting up notices about the the pegging as all of the boats had taken notice and moored on odd numbers [at last communication between anglers and boaters]so even numbers were left free
using every other peg doesn't come without problems a lot of the time odd pegs in between are fliers or your section is broken up with gaps and bridges still thats how most want it and to be fare it fished really well
every section was really tight and only the size of fish changing the final result i had 80 to 90 fish for 6lb 8oz lee wright might of only had 60 to 70 but better fish for 6llb 2oz this happened right through the canal i think it was about fishing more than one line and taking fish off each line those that just fished hemp or chopped worm missed out on squat fish yet anglers that fished squatt, hemp and a bit of chopped worm seamed to keep the fish coming and the last hour remembering it was 2pm was a nightmare with the boats so what is normally the golden hemp hour never really happened
and it showed how strong the league is as last in a lot of sections was 5lb yet 7lb or a good 6lb would win it  again sorry no photo's as i was left to run the league on my own i will say i could see two bridges from my peg yet i was in the middle of them Image Image

here's a Question
from what i can make those anglers that put a lot of chopped worm in at the start DID catch quickly and soon put 2 to 3lb in there nets my reason for this is because the canal was at its clearest yet when the the boats started and coloured the canal most of these anglers shrugged and had to almost fish out of there pegs and most couldn't catch on squat
now is the reason for this because they have put a load of chopped worm in when a boat has come through it's displaces the remaining chopped worm all over there peg and squat fish don't like the danger signals given off because it was quite noticeable lee wright next to me could not put any squat fish together for most of the last couple of hours yet i've been on the peg and had a weight on squat Image Image

Don't think it hurts mate as long as you don't put them too close together.
Maybe the reason for Lee not catching, it could have been because all the fish were in your peg ! eating your special canal mix !!!!!
Then again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
