It is dismal :(
There was 90 odd there 11lb-Dave Brookes? won Dave Horton had 9 odd and Derek Jackson had a 4lb slab in his 3rd placed 6-12.First 2 had tincas and sergeants the rest of us caught naff all really
I had a peg to peg battle with the Sherrif from Maver NW and he battered me 61 fish to 40 but we both weighed in 13oz to share a defaulted section
You always gotta weigh in never be embarassed to take money home!
Ours wasnt the worse section as Wezza topped his with 12oz and Macca also jointed his section with a small 2lb.
Bill battered them all one side of him but was in the wrong section :(
There were nests of small fish on the squatt but with no boats and a gin canal its rock hard.
I can hear Joff laughing from here

yesterday further up the canal kids were swimming in it and no signs of any grown up i had a bloke come up to me ranting and raving about he wanted to fish the canal because he has a license that tells him he could fish anywhere at any time
>:(i soon put him in his place then in between harold and me two people sat fishing in deck chairs
no licence no club book
so they got told
all i wanted to do is get on with my fiishing
but this must be the same up and down the country

Same happening over here :(
People take one look at Dockholme and see all the weed and do not want to fish! What they fail to realise it the candocks are holding all the fish without them god knows :(
Anyway congrats to CWH on a superb win on the Avon-always good to have a spare peg but a good drag and he has qualified

as match organisiers you are never going to win i hope next week we have things sorted but after two or three weeks on commercials iit was a nightmare yesterday
lucky that the owners of the boat pub are willing to help and are asking and putting up notices asking the boats to moor in between pegs this might help but to stop every tom, dick and harry fishing the canal is a nightmare

One thing i did notice about Cotmanhay yesterday-and yes i did have plenty of time to look around
was the people walking the dogs all had the same types you know them pit bull typos
Also went to see Jackos peg 103 and there was a brown re-cycling bin in the middle of the cut with a massive shoal of bream swimming about
so it does pay to recycle
.They were blowing away at the start and as the sun came out they came to the top too.He had one of 4lb but lost another when a kid on a bike tried to take him out
He reckons he could have had 200 squatt fish but fished a positive match

The parking nightmare was Saturday where we had the ok to use the car park at Sandicliffe only to be confronted by a jobsworth who wanted all of Long Eaton for his carnival :(
I thought Wrighty was going to explode! All this to run a match and then you have to fish.........you know what its like........not even Feds match he was doing it to help the Vic out :(

Think Paul said they were going from above peg 1 at Tamworth road back to Dockholme and would think it would be Alan Wright. Text me if you need his number
