Surely England / Capello cant mess up this time ?
Algeria are proper pants ..... prob is they might have one shot on goal tho !
I would pick this team for tomorrow night (Friday)
Hart, A Cole, Terry, Dawson, Johnson, Barry, Lampard, Gerrard, J Cole, Defoe, Rooney.
Heskey played well against USA but surely the long ball one dimensional cr@p just isnt the way to go at world cup level ?

Green looks like being dropped.
We could well loose with Calamity in goal.

Couldn't put it any plainer Dodge.
That must rank as one, if not the, worst ever performance. Two matches ago Rooney was a world beater, it was destined to be his World Cup.
He is our best player but the best players in his position need class to feed him; trouble is we ain't got any.
Bitterly disappointed with Terry; every time he went for a high ball he leant on an Algie and gave a foul away. Could see the Argies scoring at least a couple from those free kicks.
Beckenbour (however you spell it) accused England of kick and run football. Why the crappity smack don't they play this style, they would do far better.

i thought this post has hit the nail on the head
Sooner or later I hope people will cotton on to a fundamental truth that, like the Emperors Clothes is considered heresy in a world dominated by Sky TV and that is….. The Premier League is a crock of poo.
It is virtually non-competitive, dominated by the same few clubs who have built such a base of wealth that it is virtually impossible for a ‘normal’ club to compete. If you don’t believe me look how many different clubs finished in the top 4 in the old division 1 through the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Then look what happened after Sky took over.
Due to the amount of money flooding into the game we then see an avalanche of foreign players heading this way in such of a quick buck (remember George Weahs’ cousin at Southampton). As a result the England manager, whoever it is, has a smaller and smaller pool to pick from. The current crop of England players aren’t that great, Rooney, Gerrard (off to Madrid soon after his ‘difficulties’) maybe but Heskey? Johnson? Lennon? James/Green/Hart?
Added to which, the policy of ‘non-competitive’ sports teaching in schools (because things like being the last person to be picked in a football team scar you for life apparently) means the talent is being killed before it ever develops. Celtic won a European Cup with a team all born within 30 miles of the ground. Scotland consistently produced top class players and whilst their international side rarely lived up to the talent it contained take a look back at some of the talent Scotland produced. Now it’s all gone mostly because school pitches were sold off and politically correct teaching methods drove kids away before they developed. You could add the same about the Liverpool side of ’77, there were 6(?) scousers in that side. The kids are still out there but they are not being picked up or developed.
In a few weeks, England will be back with their tails between their legs and everyone will get amnesia as Andy Gray screams “it’s the best League in the World” and the country will carry on buying replica shirts and paying the Sky subs. You’re being conned, it’s a cartel which does no favours to the game in general or the kids out there who should be playing for England but don’t get the chance.
