i really good friend of mine Brian menzies past a way bank holiday weekend his funeral was today now Brian looked after all our vehicles in the business and would drop anything to help whether it was 10pm or 1pm no job was to much trouble sadly he had cancer
but never once moaned about it always made a joke about it top top bloke
he was a woodies regular and often on a Saturday night with the old boys
well i had arranged to take pop Palmer another Saturday night boy.when suddenly my phone rang while i was out delivering
JOFF JOFF i've got the time wrong its 12 midday not 2pm in the afternoon 
sh#t and this was at 11.45 am so i shot of home got changed and picked pop up and headed to the funnel at 100mph the first church we got to was empty and this was at 12.15pm so a quick phone call to his auntie who had told us the times and then changed the times 
:Dshe said we had gone to the wrong church and we needed to go to the methodist on wanlip road back to the van and down the road pulled up out side and quickly dived into the church as the door opened 
i realized it was the wrong funnel but couldn't turn around and walk out because everyone was looking at us needless to say we sang a few songs until it was over put a few quid in the collection and slid out 
brians funnel was at the original time of 2pm
i couldn't believe it and what made matters worse most were coloured at the funnel talk about dropping yourself in it
still we had a few beers to get over it
