Coops. Pellet or pellet! Feed a small ball of fishmeal in a kinder cup with a few smmll pellets, each put. Also feed 4mm pellets on a close line, say top 4. fish a 4mm expander or hooker on a 16 hook to 0.12 line, around .3 float. (heavier on the inside, i would say 0.20, you may catch big fish, and they will take off and you only have a top 4 in your hand!)
Also feed a feeder line, if you have an island or fountain, a good chuck on the method (green swimstim and 2 maggotts or small boily) is good, otherwise 30 to 50 turns on a feeder is good, same again, few pellets and fishmeal GB.
Just going to chuck a feeder for the evening!
( i fished the pole last night)
this is from nigel who lives there well the owner
if you need anymore info let me know

its brilliant at this time of year simps you have to make your mind up what you want to do like nigel said pegs 10 to 22 are very good carp pegs around the island are brilliant carp pegs not saying you won't catch them in most areas 125 is a margin peg on the 18th tee
on the other hand if you fish for skimmers on the pole and pellet you will have a great days fishing darren cox's had 124lb in one of our summer leagues
:oand the back up weights were all good
if you go back into the match results you will find some write ups on barston we had two rounds on there last year

crappity smack hell Joff, them are proper anglers fishing it, I will aim a couple of pound under and I should be ok
Carp or skimmers, I'm happy either way. I wouldn't mins a nice bag of skimmers to be fair.
Thanks for all the info Joff.

The boilies Joffs talking about are the white ones or the fluro red type (the tiny ones), I know I saw em action first hand last year. micros molded around the method also works, saw that in action too. I was well and truly fishcaked!!!!

It's a stunning venue Simon. I walk around it a lot, although hardly fish it. (no idea why, just one of those unexplainable things
)
You'll enjoy it, the scenery, even if the rest doesn't come exactly together.... curse an all that ::)

Actually Joff, for a public footpath in such a crackin' location there aren't many walkers at all.
We often comment how few other walkers we see.. but I can well understand it may seem theres a lot... when you have to shift your pole.
Last time I fished the main lake, when Woodhouse battered me next door (i've no idea) there did seem a few.
Fished the small match lake a couple of weeks ago on a sunday as an individual. Plenty of match sized fish in that.
