sorry TK no camera again i've got it on charge for the weekend
well after Saturday nights rain we all thought the carp would be in a subdued mood with the sudden change in pressure and with the whole lake in and all the anglers driving to there pegs at the same time it could of been a disaster
i drew peg 20 this week and thought in was in the middle of the lake but it turned out it was paper pegged and ended up on permanent 35 a couple of pegs away from last weeks draw so i really fancied it for a few fish still a couple of pegs from the end peg which had carp spawning like mad in the margins i didn't want him to go down the margins as he'd of bagged but i didn't want him to go over either as it was my only chance of fish still you can't have everything i could see him just fishing down the middle ::) ::)
everything set up and we were off
i fed a couple of lines across and a margin he fed both as well
we went fish for fish for a long time until he fished his margin peg the he bagged but one thing was very clear the size of the fish were a lot smaller this week specially on pellet every now and again i would try corn and it did find the odd better fish so it was nip and tuck all the way
it was the hardest match I've fished with the fish feeding in really different ways up down laying on pellet corn maggots and i had a few
caster it was just a change of bait that brought a instant response
on the other side of the lake the end peg was about opposite men why they had missed the last few pegs i couldn't understand but bob greenburys bother didn't mind and went on to win the match with 64lb my battle ended up with me missing out on 2nd by 12oz 37lb 02oz to my 36lb 6oz
still another good day and a real learning curb about how fickle carp can be from one day to the next
