Yes he did Harry. I did take a walk round to him a couple of times to wake him up though.

Is it safe to come out yet :'(was a bad day for me really tried all sorts and it just would not happen,Paste/Pellet/Meat /Corn/shallow /deep/margin ,but the writing was on the wall at the start intersepting the green peril going down the motorway with that hat said it all :'(then getting to my peg and no indication of fish roll on the 3 day festival next  week where i hope to put it right or get a spanking of the pro's mind you come to think of it spanking oooohhh nice well done Simple  and my team budy Gemma for not letting us down

Poor old Budgie - the writing was on the wall if you look at the pickie you entited 'Budgie confident in avoiding a MINXING'...........Budgie looks like the proverbial rabbit in the headlights - reckon he was having a premonition or summat

Eddie dont look that chuffed either handing over his £1 either

With us not fishing this weekend I wandered where the had drifted off too.......looks like it settled over DaveC too - hope he passed it back to Budgie to bring it back up here for this Sat

Well, I've compiled my tale of woe, and you can find my version of events HERE.

Simps, I've taken the liberty of nicking a couple of yours and eddie's photos.

It certainly did hover over me TK. It was not an easy day especially as I had forgotten how hard Rolfs fish pull and my first fish kited round and deposited my rig hard and fast in the right hand bush.

I dont think Budgie was best pleased when I walked the two pegs round to him and and said I was really struggling but at least I wasnt last in the section. I think it took him a little while to realise he was the one behind me.

There was one thing I was thinking when I was catching...

"Why am I the only one shallow fishing" or appeared to be..

Jon cottoned on after 3 hours and had 5 or 6 in an hour.

I LOVE fishing that method, do others not like doing it or is it that other people love fishing on the deck like I love fishing shallow.

You hit it on the nail Si the only one's that enjoy shallow long on the pole are really yourself and Slim all the rest of us are lazy gits especially me

Max 8mtrs in Summer and even that is long for me LOL

I know as i was setting up Al was chatting with me and i took 3 section of pole out of the bag and he was amazed as he did't know i had that many.

BUDGIE it happens to the best mate sometimes you turn up and something tells you it ain't going to be your day :-[no matter how you have prepared yourself i seen the best get beat up and stand there gob smacked i'm a real pro at it
