i get back from Holland and all hell has broke out i heard rumours before i went but it seams according to the sun its true TRENTMEN have lost 5 or 6 anglers
this is a massive blow for match angling and i hope it can be sorted out before they completely fold
I've had our differences a bit like forest V Leicester but this is the last thing you want for match angling I've spoke to rob Perkins and he's hopeful that they can continue
unless we get control and have match fishing team fishing will be down the pan
we need a controlling body who can organise a proper match calendar and i mean proper where all teams that are left can agree on a format and not get side tracked in little leagues
have a series say one a month too many team members do there own thing because of the lack of interest in proper team matches this then puts added pressure on the captain as most members want to pick and choose which big matches they wanted to fish while the team captain has too scrimp and scap a team for the other matches
why should a team member be dropped if he's traveled around the country yet it might not be your best team yet because the winter league is on your door step every man and his dog wants to fish it .i know this topic comes up when this news hits the headlines but its time to act now
take the sensas final i felt we had a draw to of won that competition yet i struggled to get anglers to fish it and used a angler outside of the team that really cost us
i know there is a cost to all these competitions but what ever happened to saving money if a big match is coming up don't go so often do more ground work drink less beer
if we had a format of these sensas matches i would willingly fish them all and put other lesser matches on hold and let the ones that didn't want to fish the bigger matches sort them out
i'm afraid time is running out for team fishing
keep your chin up rob
