are all the people that are stuck in europe covered by insurance or not
i was at a trade show in stoneleigh yesterday and one or to of the top brass at NISA were stuck aboard and the the confircation came up
one bloke said that the insurance had covered him to stay another week i thought to myself can this be true

Aint got a clue Joffie - possibly all dependent on the insurance policy that the individuals have taken out oupled with the the differing interpretations that various insurance companies may 'apply'

Some companies are treating it as a Natural Disaster which would not be covered under most policies, and some are treating it as bad weather which would be covered.

There are some that even though they say its not covered may pay out as an exgratia payment. I suspect it depends on their total exposure as they could get a lot of very favourable publicity if they pay out and it would be worth it in new business especially if it costs them relatively little.

The credit card companies appear to be keeping a low profile as if you paid part or all of your holiday on your credit card then they could be liable to pay out if the Insurance companies refuse. Its not something a lot of people realise they can do to recover money.

i wouldn't be that lucky
although a customer told me today that Thomas cook were brilliant and really looked after them they all stayed in the hotel until a flight had been arranged something else i didn't know was the fact that cabin crews couldn't just get straight back to work it depended on the aviation hours they had flown before whether they had to wait to help crew a plan or not . i think its been pretty messy
