I think it was the team you used to hate with a passion Joff, when you used to fish with Qourn.

Joff.I thought Tony Peel won it with a big weight under the conditions(40lb),feeding nothing, just casting a waggler to
one of them paddle things???????
It was great for us at the time,as most teams coming over
from Ireland to fish the semis finished way down, competing against more organised
teams, who usually practiced for weeks,on the venue.

i think its great you come over mate it was a brilliant result for you that day as commercials were really taking off then and i wouldn't of thought you had many if any over in ireland
did some of the lads come over for drennan final at barston a couple of years ago as well

Yeah, twas a good result,we used the smallest feeders ever
made(i think) tiny 5g nisa ones about the size of a thimble, mixed up 1/3 of a bag of sensas black & put either
1,2 or 3 pinkies in the feeder!
Barston;that was a few years later, either Lurgan or BSI.
We kind of folded in 2004,our last match was the 2005
world clubs in Italy.
Team fishings gone here now, which is a shame.

its a shame to hear about the team fishing over there i wonder if a semi final could be arranged over there for a change that way most would only have a long weekend with a couple of practices
looking around one or two sites the interest is coming back to the irish festivals thats got to good news for you
i do like holland thou :-/ bill off the site loves coming over there but that might be because there are no tree's within 50 metres of his peg Image Image Image Image

Festivals are only good for us if you can afford to have all
the time off & unless you live in cavan, you have to live in
digs, eat out ect,so theres no huge advantage appart from
the ferry. Some organisers have even started charging more
entry for anglers living here.
World clubs finals,We were lucky enough to compete in 4,from the 6/7 years we were in existance :)
1998 Bulgaria
1999 Czech rep
2000 Portugal-we won team bronze Image
2005 Italy
Good times,i have to say Image

:o :o :o top draw mate
i see what your saying the dutch festivals are not sponsored bye anyone its only the money we put in yet we have to book through a travel agent to get the digs at the right priceĀ  >:( its not right
its like over here white acres have festivals running right through to JuneĀ  yet with the odd exception you can't afford to have the time off so your limited to which ones you fish
like you say
