fish and spawning i know predators are the first fish to spawn as i've seen over the past few weeks even as cold as its been when choppie had that net of big perch all had bellies full of spawn and only last week i witnessed pike beginning to spawn at packington on molands around pegs 20 to 23 I'd never witnessed anything like it you would of said they were carp crashing in the reeds but no it was plain to see i was inches away i also had a pair of pike swim bye inches apart at my feet and again inches from the bank one must of gone doubles and the other may of been 7lb really good to watch .being predators and with one thing in mind to feed on others,do you think the harsh winter will make any differents in the spawning cycle of the other fish

Up until 2 days a go my goldfish were getting fruity but then the water temp dropped from 11 degree's to 5 and they have stopped.
I think my carp are all male as I've never seen them even attempt to spawn.
