just spent a few hours @ curborough on the canal,i know T.K,s lot have match on here soon,just to let you know its fishin harder thaan the gruellers had to use cut rigs just to get the tiniest of bites,

they should feel right at home here

What did you end up catching then OBI ?

nowt but gudgeon for 3hrs micro ones at that, had 6 carp in last hour best bout 3lb rest about 1lb mark.it is usually v.good this time of year for skimmers n roach 30lb a session easy just non showing at all

there was open last thurs across 2 pools i think chap there said 51lb won but only 3 bothered weighing in

we got the same pegs this sun tk that you have booked for your maatch and i think a certain gruellerite may be turning up for a guest spot,so thats me,snowie and the "guest" to make sure nowts caaught

thats all that came out tues ,i just used my cut gear it was a bit until the last hour then it picked up a bit with 1 or 2 proper uns

day started with abit of confusion from the officials for the daybut finally got draw done and i drew peg 15 and obi drew 19,the flyer got drawn by the club wind-up merchant peg 33, so the all-in goes up and snowie puts in and away the float sails ,thinking its a gudgeon but no acarp about 2 1/2 pound bonus,then nothing for ages ,tried far bank and got 2 gudgeon,word round the pool is the flyer is producing,obi has had a few from what i could see from my peg.decided to go walkies to find out whats goin on around pool,not much but the flyer was doin the business,pull three out while i was chattin to him,not much size though. decide its time to sart again ,put some crumb in before walk (cheers obi for the crumb,left mine at home ). put punch on and first put in and away it goes again is it agoldie i wonder, no its another 2 1/2 lb carb, 2 bonus fish on a very hard day,then nothing .one new member catchin a few bits on his first ever match,well done to him,the weigh in starts i weigh in 4lb 14, obi weighs in 1lb 9 ,last years champ weighs in 3lb 14, ;)i beat him atlast ,to peg 33 and suprisingly he only weighs in 6lb 8,not much weight in his fish .so the weighin complete and ive pulled of a 2nd place, 29pts and the chase is on to catch obi who gets 8th and 23pts to put him on 53 so obi is top with snowie heading the chasing pack. a hard match just like the gruellers,getting usedto this. bring on the summer atleast it will be warmer. by the way good brekkie to start the day.

well done m8 on what was a very hard day,i did tell ya all it had been fishin as hard as old boots but i didnt think it would be that bad ,

looks like that flyin start i had in round 1 aint gonna last long if i carry on drawin like that i didnt want any where from peg 15 - 21 so where did i draw .....bleedin 19 where i saw glen fish for 4 hrs last week for 3 bites
