Woodston Manor, Swallow pool.
Well this match turned out to be on the Swallow pool which is alot smaller than the Mill pool.
We got there and it started pee'ing down and the wind was very strong.
Macko Jacko and Stella king were checking out the pool.
Tinky Winky was trying to peg out with no pegs Bits of paper would have to do
The draw was delayed by Bob and Mark been late, because as Bob the Knob said "Mark forgot to put his clock back"
The draw got underway and I drew peg 2
Got round to my peg and there was sheep sh!t everywhere :( :(
I didn't like the look of my peg as I was one peg of been in the corner where I wanted to be.
Opposite me I could see Tinky, Macko Jacko, Sprucey and Wayne. Now The peg under the Oak tree was supposed to be a flyer, Tinky drew it
I had Mark Douglas on my right on the corner peg and Bob the Knob on my left, along with Dekka the margin master Stella King
I had planned to fish 10 meters and 5 meters on corn dead in front of me, which is what I did for the first hour with not even a bite. The wind was too much so I started to fish the margin to my right. I had been feeding heavy with corn down both sides.
The float sailed away right away.
I stayed on the margins for the rest of the match switching sides and had my first match ton. 134lb 12oz
Won the match also.
I had ran out of corn towards the end and Sprucey kindly gave me 2 more tins and also lent me his pole cup as I had forgot mine :-[
Overall I used 7 tins of corn and nothing else. I had meat, maggot and caster but never used them.
Simple 134lb 12oz Peg 2
Bob Cook 94lb 14oz Peg 3
Mark Douglas 86lb 1oz Peg 1
Dekka 78lb 13oz Peg 4
Gary Conway 77lb 7oz Peg 5

Macko Jacko 37lb 6oz Peg 12
Roly Conway 36lb 13oz Peg 9
Bill Mabberly DNW Peg 8

Brilliant Simon. Well done mate What a result.
It just shows how even after a biteless hour or so, matches can still be won. Perseverance does pay off in the end

Well done SS
If you'd have asked I'd have told you to fish top 3/4 instead of wasting time on those 'long' lines and to take 12 tins of corn
ps nice to see a few pickies too

Thanks alot everyone
I have corrected my mistake too Si, Thanks
I put a thread up on MD's about the place TK, thanks for the reply
If you look in the pictures, there is another peg between all the blokes. Very tightly pegged place indeed.
I think we had just the right amount on there.

Thanks and 13 was enough
Everyone had a spare peg either side of them. It was needed too as my spare top kits would have been on the next peg if I faced them that way thats how close the pegs were together.
Scared.........
Me.............
