what does everyone on here use as having a problem with preston as it seems to becoming thinner than it was.

you mean with your expert knowledge the Preston No 5 laccy looks to you more like a No 4 laccy and makes a loud banging noise 
. Personally i use and prefer the vespe 25 + but have found the 22 to be to stretchy

I've never noticed any problems Fert, but then again the lackie I've got was bought some time ago. I haven't changed my cut lackies for a while as I didn't fish as many cuts as I wanted, but that's soon to change. Whem I relacky, I'll keep you posted

how much banging do you get off white hydro si? i find grey gives a nice knock knock noise
