The temp went down to minus 13 last night in my garden Image Image

Pond ice is now over 4 inches thick.

I am ment to have some more snow coming over tonight and on Sunday. It is minus 9 in high wycombe in the nights at the minute.

i wonder what some of theses over stocked commercials are going to find after the thaw most are quiet shallow Image Image
simps if you have fish in your pond make sure you brush the snow off mate so the fish can at least get some UV light :'(

Cheers Joff, just done that and melted a big hole at one end.
I have also just seen my mirror carp I put in last year. He was about 4 inches long when I put him in, he is now about 4lb  Image Image

I need to find a big flask now so I can take him to Rolfs on the next match  Image

Skrettings pellets must bulk your fish up well then.

Lucky you. I got monday and tuesday in and not been able to work the rest of the week.
Bricklaying in this weather doesn't really work :D
We got the roof on an extension but need to get the brickwork gables up in order to finish the roof Image

Its bloody freezing here today. Central heating conked out at 6am this morning and the only guy I could get in was a bloody carp angler and he needs an electrician to sort it and cant get hold of one. Image Image Image Image

Roll on the end of Jan as the weather forecast says it is going to be sunny and 30 deg C.

Central heating conked out at 6am this morning


My brand new state of the art boiler conked out this morning Dave, a few phone calls and it turned out the condenser had froze outside ........ some boiling water from the kettle did the trick , up and running again now Image Image Image Image

Thats the problem with state of the art crap of today Dodge a little bit of cold and it dont work. My boiler is about 20 years old and it looks like it could be anything at the mo. Image Image
