Hiya Joffie - good topic, hope it provokes some interesting views.

Recognise a fair bit of those bits and pieces  Image

i know the lines are a good starting point

I gave the line in the top photo a 'bash' but ended up giving it to 'a needy cause'. I reverted back to Silstar/WB Clarke in an 0.06 and 0.08 which had always served me well - dunno why I wasted quite a few quid buying a range, spose I got caught up in a bit of 'hype'  - I feel the Silstar/WBC are both smaller in diameter and much more limp and 'softer' for cut work than the P R line........(and in other breaking strains for other applications for that matter) ......just my thoughts for what they are worth

Yes, still got some or very similar.

Line, same as TK, I have used Silstar/WB Clarke for donkeys of years. It's reliable and cheap enough to use straight through without crappity smack about with a hook length. Nearly all our lads crappity smack swear by it Image Image
As an extra loads loads of anglers use the heavier grades for hook bottoms in Ireland.

I like the look of those Fox hooks me duck Image

This bit will please End Peg.........There was a shop add in last months Match Fishing for Silstar 0.065, £10 for three spools. Please don't all send for it at once cuz I ain't sent for any yet. Image Image Image Image

What is a canal?

A canal is meant for fishing

A commercial is meant for TV

Football is meant for Stoke City
