Well the best thing about today was the lovely sandwich I had at 8am :D
Oh and meeting TK, very nice man, very very nice man :P
I spent 10 mins tying a rig up only for it to get tangled up right away thanks to that weed lol >:(
Started catching right away, only small roach but then it dried up. I had to keep moving about all over the place to find the fish again.
People were having problems with pike on the stretch, but mine was quite intent on keeping guard of my tiny roach by my keep net.
I had 15oz 5dr, rats. Didn't even make the lb. Oh well, always another time.
It fished very bad today so I was told my most of the other guys. I even managed a lb in winter at the start of this year from down there, but not today :'(
Bob Cooke had 4lb 5oz and won it followed by 4lb 4oz 5dr, comes to something when you get drammed oh dear :(
I took a few pictures which can be found

It was incredibly hard today, I have never seen it that clear in the last 5 years I have been fishing it. I saw 2 dead Roach in the track too which makes me wonder if there's anything wrong with the water. Normally at this time of year everyone catches at least 2-3 lbs of bits. It has been fishing quite hard now for a few weeks, lets just hope it colours up a bit for the start of the 3 a side next week so we can all have a nice days fishing with plenty of bites. Incidently the top 2 pegs were 2 and 3 so obviously the fish were around there for some reason. I'm chuffed little Dan came 2nd though, he's a great kid and worth encouraging.
Nice to meet you and your good lady TK, you must come and watch us struggle again sometime lol.
Oh and Si, the only reason your sandwich was nice was coz I paid for it, how on earth you can eat a sausage and Cheese sandwich is beyone me lol.

Will pop down again Conna if I get five - thanks. Honestly if you thought that was gin, you should have seen it from the wharf at the end of Pleck road down to the town centre. Definately some 'colour' in your section
, not sure it was the right sort though.
Saw plenty of fish on the way upto you - even Mrs K was clocking 1/2 lb plus perch and rook loads of roach right on your feet on the way back on the bottom stretch
The weathers a bit all over the shop at the mo......sure things will settle and you'll have better consistent results once the league starts.
