Aye mate, I was away camping :(
I will be missing the next river match (Bass Island) too because last year when I fished there there was numerous near crashes on the bridge whilst our members dropped off and picked up their gear. And I ain't parking my car miles away and running round like a blue arsed fly again for 2 poxy pound of roach
Was nice to fish the river but you need to be able to park in the field. Far safer I think.

Twas diabolical mate. Only 9 of us turned up and it fished crap due I think to the clarity of the water.
Dry net George won off what in my opinion was the best peg with 4lbs 4oz, mark douglas was 2nd with 2lbs 10 oz and I was 3rd with 2lbs 8oz. I started getting bites near the end but too late in the day. Btw, we fished 6 hours too. Kev Buxton next to me never had a bite.
