When good advice is not good from a shop worker !

Heard a rumour last week that a quorn angler went into a tackle shop and was given some top advice from local guru Roger Marlow.
Plonking some hemp and worms on the counter, "Our Roger" confirmed that hemp would be a waste of time on the river at the weekend due to the river being "black". Undetered the Quorn angler purchased the said bait and went on his way slightly puzzled !
Just to show these Leicester anglers have got their fingers on the pulse, another Quorn angler won the match with 25lb of redfins on hemp

thats not nice anyway it was a club match

and if i'm right it was about 3 different matches 1 here 1 there 1 anywhere you wanted to go

another thing fancy fishing a section that has already had two winter leagues on it and is about to have two more nice to rest a section every now and again

Did not go on this match Les, just reporting a rumour. Still, hope the fish are biting like Joff this weekend.
The bad news is we have had a drop of rain so it will be on the canal if certain people get their way (no names as apparently thats not nice according to a certain person).
Les will you be fishing this weekend if its on the canal, oops sorry forgot you are fishing for someone else, ho hum.
