If a chook eats something it shouldn't...ie a piece of frayed tarp that I must have missed picking up from the run...is there any chance the whole thing could get into one of their eggs?

You could be right their Dodge. One of them, Patrick Fyfe, used have the Chemists just round the corner from me.
He then moved to Acton Trussell and that is where they got all their crazy names from.
