i'm not walking past a pub down there mate Image
had a lovely lovely afternoon plenty of roach and plenty of chatting to passer byes even the landlord from the pub came down and sat with me [at first he did tell me i'm not supposed to fish in the pub garden but he said it was alright today] started on bread and with in minutes i was getting bites so i added hemp to the feed and that was that one a bung i used a j/Francoise .3 in nearly 6ft of water with a long line top 5 really enjoyed it as most that stood behind asked questions on fishing also saw that you cared for the fish you were catching plus most didn't even know the river had that amount of fish in it perhaps promoting the sport in this way will bring new anglers into the sport
one thing a did notice that a bulk rig was better when i changed to hemp on the strung out rig I'd get indications but they were definitely smaller roach and i wondered whether ,because I'd started on bread it had attracted a lot of smaller fish into the peg perhaps its too early for the bread
sport was cut short when the tank commander phoned to remind me to pick the kids up from school Image Image Image Image

Ient on the Severn at Ironbridge last Friday.

I took my camera.

River was up a bit and had colour but have seen it worse.

Sum total in six hours of running a stick float through.

Three minnows, one minute gudgeon and a bonus 'daddy ruffe'.

Fished a snag pit and wouldn't move, lost 17 hooks!

Who gives a crappity smack, it were great to get out Image Image Image Image Image Image
