........off Brian Brambles.
He'd fished Wood Lane section today (to the left) today and caught roach and perch but couldn't get any of the tincas out that he hooked on his favoured pinkie baits.
He got saw off 3 times, fishing just over the nearside cover by a lilly pad
Brambles Jnr also went along - he had silvers but also managed to get one tench and one bream out - both around the 3lb mark.
Perhaps next time we get flooded off the river we'll head for Wood Lane instead of the common for a change.
Any tips down that section going back to Fishley Chockie Monster ??????? (if you read this) I hear that some guys fish the wides further down and have been doing well, but its a tad too far for an old git like me to walk
