Owner Brenda Jefferson is retiring partly due to health issues and is selling the Izaak Walton fishery at Chebsey Staffordshire.
The superb four pool angling complex is up for sale at 1.5 million pounds, which includes 42 acres and a spacious detached house on site; the fishery is popular with anglers and has potential for growth.
Having built up the business since 1994 when it was just land with one pool on site, Brenda was diagnosed with cancer in 2001 which she battled against successfully, but now arthritis is restricting her ability to run the complex and she has decided to call it a day and retire.
The fishery is very popular with anglers from far and wide, local Staffordshire anglers often visiting each week, while club bookings and match anglers travel from as far afield as Manchester, Wigan and Liverpool.
The venues four pools are heavily stocked with carp, bream, tench, roach and perch, the venues match record in five hours is 281lbs!
Brenda added “The fishery needs active owners who can deal instantly with anything that’s needed around the site, I simply can’t do that anymore, and it’s now the right time for me to take a break and sell up and retire.”
