i've just picked up on this match i can't fish it but if any site members want to fish it they are more than welcome NOW this match is only open to members that contribute to websites ie total fishing maggot drowning and ours so if you think just because you browser the sites and don't contribute you can fish well you can't full stop active members only
it looks like its run every year now its only a week on sunday 13th sept and guess where it is BARSTON the whole lake is reserved and anything goe's
the draw is 9 am fish 11 till 4pm breafast from 7 am
if you wanting to fish let nigel know on www.barstonlakes.co.uk and he will forward your names to brian at talk angling
there is a beutifull trophy for this event i would love to win it
it gives every club angler open angler a chance to fish the lake without the stars [there will be the odd name there but thats onlly because they are active members ]good shout for TKs boys Image

I've just posted on TA for a place if there is one.

I walk round this place regularly. Done it many, many times and yet, i've never fished it. For some reason i've never been moved to. No explaining it, its just how it is.

Can always tell how its fishing by how many anglers have a fish on as you walk by. Recently there's been a lot.

For anyone who hasn't been, it is stunning as a stillwater managed fishery, and I dont use the word lightly when I talk about the views.

If anyone knows of anywhere better, i'd like to know about it.

Sitting outside the golf club with a pint looking over the lake ... can only ever think you'd have to go a long, long way to beat it. Magnificent setting.

I'm lucky to be local. Don't tell too many about it ;)

Might fish it soon.
