why why why do anglers do this  Image paul turner and tony keeling have done a fantastic job running 12 practice matches for the run up to the national two matches on each section surely you can't get better than that Image
and to cap it off yesterdays match had 280 anglers on it :o :o
as you have seen on other posts teams have been practicing and mostly not choosing to fish the matches
but to our horror when we got to our pegs yesterday you could tell all had been fished either Friday or Saturday piles of G/B peat from worms caster all must of added to the heavy rain the night before in between bonus fish very little squatt fish were caught  :-[good anglers reduced to ounces long periods with out bites
so why do teams do it Image Image

on the total fishing site,is it the vespa team which is the army, navy and air force combined and given they are all across europe they have to have one week off all together and to be fare thats the only way of doing it plus they ran a team match on saturday off the national match length but this was made up of lots of local teams as well Image

agreed to some extent joff Image however fishing a match on a stretch of canal which will not be used on the national (no problem). practicing on the canal sections to be used no problem (so long as its not in the days preceding a match). as for the forces lads fair play they are restricted due to leave dates etc but what about those teams not represented by the forces? (no excuse). >:( . anyway good luck next sat mate , at least the fish will get a rest this week Image but hopfeully only until sat Image

The ploy is working well.
I have all the Div two teams on every stretch of the cut every day this week (well its within my rules anyway) They are vacating the pegs at 8am on Saturday morning so it will have a good rest.

Come on you bread boys, lets be having 'em.

That lorry was taken all the roach out for you.
They heard you wanted more chub in the cut.

It's certainly a stonker - well done Lloydy Image

What's the record weight for a chub these days - used to be 9lb odd not so long back (I think Image)
