is it the last time we see it on a natural venue
if so why
a is it because the top 4 or 5 teams have been there year in year out
b the fishing on the nene at this time of year is sh#t and full of weed
c cost of bloodworm and joker that keeps for the day
d has it been affected by the recession and anglers can't aford it
or e anglers have just moved on and fragmented into indivdauls who can go home if they draw bad
what do you think

on the other side
1 is it still the biggest competition on the match calendar if so why hasn't the sponsorship and prizes gone up year on year [that applies to other competitions as well]
2 why hasn't it ever been televised like fisho mania where the differents is team attitude in sted of individaul glory

i love my sport but i feel the sport is letting us down in a big way
we are all feeling the pinch at the minute so why not ban all practice until the final for all teams so every one is on a even playing field [ok the top 4 have a world of knowledge on the venue anyway]

Just my thoughts and i know a lot of people put a lot of hard work into the A/T final eg organisers, teams etc etc but after the way things have panned out leading up to this years event and the dire catches last year a new NATURAL venue is deffo needed. God knows what it will cost all you guys fishing the final this year,petrol / diesel,joker,bloodworm,digs food etc ...... sadly a solution to all this for most teams seems as far away as ever ?

theres a few more fish around his year aswell. but maybe its time to move it(i love the nene there its awesome) but finding one with the pegs and the allowance of worm, access and all the things that go with it....

ropas boys are the dark horses ever since i mentioned mars bars they have decided to practice all week

I couldn't really give two crappity smacks about the WL as we are not in it this year.
They could however look at ways of cutting costs and travel wise it has to be the Midlands as it is easier to access for all.
Rudyard Lake must be the most underused possible big match water there is in the country and it is in the Midlands.
OK I've said it before so I'll crappity smack off to bed out the crappity smack way.

you guys should have the final on a commercial such as Makins and make it a silver fish only match. you'd have the best final ever.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I'M BACK from that sh#t hole they call a river what a waste of a day we spent a hour racking the weed yellow stream it down three times man style gaz broke 4 separate joints after a tornado hit us all for 5lb of fish yesterday was as bad normally the low numbers on the north bank are good for a few roach not yesterday 2lb5oz second in my section trentmen barnsley starlets bordon and a few dorking lads were there to day and what a few people had told me most were struggling until late afternoon its just weed weed weed and more weed

la les is getting things right on the canal lloydy another brown envelope this week i see he's putting a lot of work in to get us up to scratch on the canal plus loads of phone calls i must say he's top draw on the venue
