wel what a day 8 am draw nice big breakfast thanks lady's and where's the Mancunian's was this some stoke pulling had they already drawn and shot off to feed there pegs Oh yes it go's on with inbreds[locals ]
no how wrong can you be as i looked out the window there was a white van with half a shop window stuck to the side racing around the track that must be dodge and crew ::) ::) ::)
anyway we all had a draw the fliers all went to the same old suspects but the main competition was going to take place on lake one where dodge,steve,grumpy and myself had drawn at last i'd drawn glebe one last sunday the lowest weight in 30 pegs was 70lb caught by a one armed coke sniffer
dodge was on 3 steve on 5 grumpy on 13 and me on 21 the banter had already started with grumpy turning up with a gallon of hemp and said "what am i doing here i don't use this amount of hemp all year "at that point i thought we might be up against it with the Mancunians thurabreds well oiled bagging machines
still 100lb would be a nice day anyway and with the mars bars stacking up the pressure was mounting and to make matters worse i had the venue experts either side of me kit everywhere hand on head :-/lets get this over and done with and just don't make it too painful
the match really didn't turn out the way it should with the lack of feeding fish and the cold wind getting up it was going to be a proper catch what you can where you can half way through the venue experts went very quiet as i picked fish off the far bank gaz even walked down to me :oto see what i was using for bait ::) ::)OH yes i know his tactics :( :(still it wasn't long before he had taken the lead at the end of the match i'd had 12 carp and 5lb of silvers proper fisherman for 44lb 10oz gaz beat me by 10lb and weighed 54lb still if it was golf i'd of had his pants down because the amount of time he's up there his handicap would of been 2 or less so making it that he needed to catch 40% more than me so i'm taking it as a victory and on the other side another venue expert chris was beaten by a river angler who's the daddy
next two weigh was grumpy and the way he was looking at me told the story but on the bright side he did have a lovely net of silvers on hemp
well from there we both walked round to dodge and steve steve was already f-ing and blinding about leicestershire and dodge was showing me his collection of carp scales the mancunians had lost the epic battle of glebe one and the mars bars had started to flow i think when grumpy had left the bank he must of eaten 6

Me and dodge have got the place sussed for next time, leave the 10 pints of casters and 12 tins of corn etc at home and just take a ball of paste, feed nothing and catch 70lb to win the lake

I won a mars bars off Steve  easy peasy  told you you would break a pound at the glebe mate  ....just !!! 

Now then, Joff had a very good weight on the day from pool 1 but ...... Petwaldo a fellow mancunian who travelled with us and is a member of this site and drew a few pegs from joff  he beat you mate with 46lb     
I had just 29lb but i think that was good enough for 4th in my 10 peg section  i had the margins worked out very late on but lost 2 proper munters foulhooked  no numbers of fish would feed until very late so it was a frustrating day for me as i have never seen the place before,i beat a paste angler one side  but the lad the other side done me by a pound  that was deffo the method on the day.
Great to meet up with you and your lads joff in the pub     Rob Wooten is a top fella aswell

Joff, looks like you better hand that mars bar over to petwaldo      other wise the mars bar recovery specialists will be out looking for you , there already on the trail of one Les woodhouse after he did a disapearing act after loosing a marsbar under unusual circimstances at the last round of mid cheshire league and not paying up
