10th June, Next Sunday.

http://www.heronbrookfisheries.co.uk/in ... &PAGE_id=4

You can click the peg numbers for a look at the peg. Corner pegs normally do well. 22 and 10.
I fished it last year and only did 20lb :-[ Lots of chub and small barbel. I think he stocked it with F1's last year too.
I doubt we will have the whole pool but peg 22 has got your name on it Conna Image Image
Hopefully you will get chance to see the laccy come out your new pole Image

61lb 4oz won from peg 22(corner peg) last Saturday.
We have 25 pegs booked out of 39 pegs on the pool, I wonder if he will give us the whole pool Image
Either way peg 22 will be there and will be the favoured peg I think ;)
So after the draw Conna I will come down and see what it looks like :P Image as your bound to draw it.

I doubt it................

Pegs 1 - 12 were already occupied when we got there and we were 'allocated' the next 25 with a couple of other anglers at the far end >:(

And the Curse struck - as normal - certain anglers were 'blown away' on the day - I was on about 18 (with Lasher to my RHS chucking a 6 oz feeder out Image) and struggled at times to hold 5 mtrs of pole. Across - either hard over or down the shelf was out of the equation after about 10 mins as the wind got stronger, and stronger, and stronger.........

The prematch banter of expected ton weights went out of the window :'( and it was snatch what you could

Despite it being a cock peg on there it was pretty barren with no obvious external features if I remember right. There was no wind breaking trees or shrubs and Yamo had gale force winds in his face, whilst it whistled down our length fom left to right.

But the fish obviously like it around there - I'd only fished it once before (before it was extended) a few years ago on a club works 6 a side event and one of our team - Millie - won the match off it. 40 odd lb then, which was a megga weight (unheard by us LOL) all those years ago

Just noticed you can see a pickie of each peg in the link...........yep quoted pegs above are correct - and 22 doesn't look pretty scenic unless you face hard to the right (in fact in a gale and torrential rain 22 looks even worse)

Rules for Heronbrook.....

TWO keep nets are required at ALL matches (Open Matches and Club Matches)
Once you feel you have close to 50 lb in the first net, then please start to use the second net
Or start with two keep nets and place the fish in them alternately
(It is not a one net for carp, one net for silvers rule)

No Trout pellets.

Barbless hooks only (size 10 MAX)

No Catmeat

Please take care and net fish that should be netted, and swim the fish to the head of the net ready for weighing.

ALL nets (landing nets and keep nets) MUST be dipped.

I think we should also add.... Macaroni Cheese is banned also  Image
